Ice melts and winter thaws

The world obeys nature’s law

Raw, green buds ready for bloom

Fresh spring grass covered in dew

Earthy, bright four-leaf clovers

In a meadow, kids play red rover

Laughter rings out clear as a bell

Peels of sunshine pervade the realm

Oak leaves stirred by a gentle breeze

Neighbors relax with lawn-chair ease

A clear, high tune whistled by a lark

Every note is a work of art

Sipping on a cup of coffee at dawn,

I feel a new beginning starting strong

Sometimes I wonder if it’s all a dream

Everything’s a calm, picturesque green
