“CrocheT”

I like the feeling of yarn slipping through my fingers. The nice, simple repetition of a single crochet.

I think it’s what humans were made for. I think we overcomplicate these things.

It’s easy to criticize simplicity and keep asking yourself for more. How will I possibly complete this research project in time? I don’t even know how to collect the data.

My brain is searching itself over and over and finding more and more things I need to do. Maybe I’m a ticking time bomb. That’s too cliche. Or is it meta?

And suddenly I feel a little less so. Less stressed, less intense, just less.

I am only one of me. I only have the capacity of one person at a time. One thought at a time, one stitch at a time.

My life is a collective of all of what makes me, me. And it’s not nearly finished. I don’t always have to be extraordinary.
