Where do you feel warm?

Where do you feel warm?

Maybe inside, with your door wide-open,

sipping cocoa while it storms?

Or is it outside, while the hour’s golden,

That allows your thoughts to stop their swarm?

Or maybe you love the swarm of thoughts

and all of the ideas they bring

Warming your brain as creativity sparks;

Your soul begins to sing —

Where do you feel warm?

Wrapped in the arms of the one you love,

Smiling as you embrace their form?

Or by yourself, in your room, under a

blanket, tucked away in your dorm?

Where do you feel warm?

A person, place, thing or idea?

It doesn’t matter; that’s up to you.

With your partner, at the beach, maybe South Korea?

Staring into my eyes? They’re blue.

Where do you feel warm?

It could be none of this; that’s just fine

Warmth is undefined.

These chosen times define some of mine,

but it can be different in your mind.

Warmth can’t be seen even though it shines.

It cannot be felt, though it tingles your spine.

Where do you feel warm?
